We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team in Dona Ana County, Las Cruces, New Mexico. As a Caregiver, you will be the heart of our business, building meaningful relationships with clients, bringing smiles to their faces, and being the highlight of their day. Requirements

  • High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate.
  • Successful completion of a written Competency Evaluation for Homemaker Companion.
  • Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Current and valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a vehicle in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Honest, likable, energetic, and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to get along and verbally communicate easily with people at all levels.
  • Good listening skills and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting clients with homemaking activities such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Providing companionship during activities such as accompanying clients on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, and assisting with hobbies.
  • Preparing meals and running errands such as grocery shopping.
  • Providing care for vulnerable populations of seniors and adults with disabilities.
  • Performing general household work, ensuring it constitutes less than 20% of the work shift.
