About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Wichita Falls office is seeking caregivers to support senior adults and others in need throughout North Texas, including Seymour, Bowie, Vernon, Graham, and Quanah. Caregivers provide compassionate, one-on-one assistance and companionship, helping clients maintain their daily routines and supporting their families. Duties range from light housekeeping and meal preparation to mobility assistance and transportation. The role also offers opportunities for advanced training in areas such as dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver disposition.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate demeanor.
Good time management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethics.
Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Shop for clients or accompany them while they shop.
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
