About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care to seniors in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The goal is to help seniors remain safe and independent in their homes and support their comfort, health, and well-being. The agency provides training for caregivers and serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties. The position is performed in person and may be full-time, part-time, or live-in.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving or home care experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be reliable.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outdoors, including attending appointments and taking walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping as needed.
Perform light housekeeping that clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
