About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care that helps seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers make a meaningful impact by supporting clients’ daily needs and helping them stay happy and healthy at home. The role is based in Wheaton, Illinois, and is performed in person. Full-time, part-time, and live-in availability is listed. The agency serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving or home care experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful, compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be reliable.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
Perform light housekeeping clients cannot manage independently, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly to emergencies.
Follow each client’s care plan.
