About The Position

Mom's Home Care is hiring a Caregiver for an ongoing case in the Westwood area of Los Angeles (90049). The client lives alone and has dementia and Parkinson’s. The caregiver will provide companionship, supervision, assistance with transfers and mobility, and support with daily activities. The client uses a walker and needs medication reminders, meal preparation, shower and personal-care assistance, and close supervision because of fall risk. The scheduled shifts are Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The role supports senior clients in their own homes, helping them maintain their quality of life, health, safety, and well-being. Mom's Home Care describes its support for caregivers as including 24/7 supervisor support, ongoing training, feedback, and caregiver-appreciation bonuses and other surprises.

Requirements

Two years of previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is a plus.
Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Patience, humor, kindness, and a big heart.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility support.
For this case, assist with transfers, showers, personal care, medication reminders, and meal preparation; provide close supervision due to fall risk.
Monitor vital signs as needed to help ensure clients' health and safety.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Drive clients to appointments, errands, and outings.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
