About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking a compassionate and dependable In-Home Caregiver to provide personalized, one-on-one support to clients near the Minneapolis area in a private home environment. The role focuses on promoting clients’ safety, comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Shifts are 12 hours and may be days or overnights. The position also involves coordination with an RN Case Manager to keep the plan of care up to date. For shifts of three hours or longer, the stated base rate is $19–$22 per hour, based on experience; shorter shifts have separate rates.

Requirements

Compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience providing hands-on care in a setting such as home health, assisted living, a group home, or a hospital.
Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
Negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
Availability to work two weekend days per month.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and conversation to enhance clients’ lives.
Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
Provide physical assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs.
Communicate with the RN Case Manager as part of the care coordination team to update the plan of care.
