Assisted Living Caregiving
About The Position
Caregivers at Somerset Assisted Living assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), treating each person with dignity, respect, and compassion. They follow resident care plans as directed by community leadership and comply with Federal, State, and Local standards for community operation. Caregivers incorporate Generations’ Mission, Vision, and Values into their daily work and interactions. The role offers full-time schedules on either a 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. shift, working 8-hour shifts on a rotating schedule of 4 days on and 2 days off. Holiday availability is preferred.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background checks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Caregiver is preferred, but not required.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide is a plus.
- CPR/First Aid certification; training is available upon hire.
- Holiday availability is preferred.
