About The Position

TheKey is hiring a caregiver to provide one-on-one, in-home support to aging adults in Santa Clarita. The role is described as short shifts of four hours Monday through Saturday, with full-time and part-time opportunities available. Caregivers assist clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. TheKey offers pay of $20–$23 per hour, flexible schedules, weekly pay, mileage reimbursement, paid training, caregiver support, and career development opportunities. Certain eligibility requirements, compensation, benefits, and bonuses may vary by state and location.

Requirements

At least one year of professional caregiving experience.
Must work weekends.
At least 18 years of age.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
HCA registration with the State of California, including meeting state background requirements; TheKey can help obtain registration after hire.
Valid driver's license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Must comply with state background screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
Applicants must meet California fingerprint identification requirements; a conditional offer will be rescinded if the applicant has a non-exemptible crime conviction, in compliance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments and run errands, including grocery shopping.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, and other activities.
