About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking experienced in-home caregivers, including CNA/HHA candidates, to provide personal care, homemaking, and companionship to elderly and/or disabled adults, including adults with developmental disabilities. Care is provided in clients’ homes to help them feel safe, comfortable, and supported while maintaining their independence and personal goals. The role includes assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, household tasks, meals, transportation arrangements, shopping, medication reminders, and companionship. The organization says it provides training and resources, follows CDC safety measures, and equips caregivers with what they need to stay safe. Compensation is $15.00 per hour. Full-time and part-time availability is stated.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a reliable form of transportation.
Be able to work with male and female clients.
Be able to pass a Level II background check; the posting states this can be completed in the office for a cost of $90.
Provide proof of a negative tuberculosis (TB) screening; staff are available to administer a TB skin test.
Be comfortable assisting with bathing, toileting, dressing, and personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

Provide care to elderly and/or disabled adults, including adults with developmental disabilities, in their homes.
Assist with bathing, toileting, dressing, and personal hygiene.
Monitor client safety and provide supervision in the home.
Perform light housekeeping, including sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and laundry.
Assist with ambulation and transferring.
Assist with scheduling transportation to medical appointments and running errands.
Assist with grocery shopping and online shopping.
Prepare meals.
Provide companionship.
Assist clients with their personal goals.
Provide friendly medication reminders.
