About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is seeking part-time Caregivers to care for children ages infant to two years old in a classical and Catholic classroom for up to 14 hours per week at our center in St. Leo, Florida. No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required, as all necessary training will be provided. The ideal candidate may have experience in homeschooling, working with homeschool children, ministry within a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, teaching their own children, or teaching in a classical or private school setting. Regina Caeli Academy is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. These are hourly positions with childcare provided. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines will be provided, and tutors will be trained in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills, good organization, punctuality, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be actively living the Catholic faith, including having received all appropriate sacraments. All staff must complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training before teaching. The hours at the center during the academic year are Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Tutors are expected to prepare for classes at home and teach in a highly structured environment. Mandatory training will be held on August 11, 12, or 13, 2026 (TBD) prior to employment, from 8 am to 5 pm, with no childcare provided (nursing babies are welcome). All employees of Regina Caeli are required to have a clear background check.

Requirements
