Temporary Daytime Caregiver
About The Position
Kore Cares is hiring a temporary, part-time daytime caregiver in the Yankton, South Dakota area for a short-term assignment running November 1 through December 31. The caregiver provides one-on-one care in clients’ homes, helping them maintain independence and quality of life. Daytime shifts are approximately 7 or 8 AM to 4 or 5 PM, with rotating weekends. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided. Caregivers provide support with daily living, mobility, medication reminders, housekeeping, transportation, errands, meals, and companionship, while following each client’s personalized care plan. The posting lists hourly pay as both $17–$21 and $17.00–$22.00, and notes travel-time and mileage reimbursement between shifts.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle with valid insurance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Support ambulation and transfers, with or without adaptive equipment.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Assist with housekeeping, transportation, and errands.
- Plan and prepare meals, provide feeding assistance, and clean up the kitchen.
- Offer companionship and social support.
- Follow all tasks outlined in the client’s personalized care plan.
