About The Position
Assisting Hands Central Milwaukee is seeking a highly experienced and dependable Caregiver to provide in-home support for a client requiring Hoyer lift assistance. This role is best suited for caregivers with strong hands-on experience in safe transfers and personal care support.
Requirements
- Must have experience using Hoyer lift equipment and safe transfer techniques
- Previous caregiving experience required (strong preference for in-home care experience)
- Reliable, punctual, and highly attentive to safety
- Compassionate and able to provide respectful personal care
- Able to follow a care plan and communicate effectively
- Comfortable working extended shifts (day and night coverage)
Responsibilities
- Assist with Hoyer lift transfers and safe mobility support
- Provide bathing and shower assistance
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Assist with dressing and personal grooming
- Perform grocery shopping
- Prepare simple meals
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Maintain a safe and clean home environment
- Assist with scheduling physician and lab appointments
