About The Position
Assisting Hands Central Milwaukee is seeking a highly experienced and reliable Caregiver to support a client who requires advanced mobility assistance, including use of a Hoyer lift. This role is ideal for a caregiver with strong hands-on experience in safe transfers and personal care. This position focuses on providing quality care, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities while ensuring a safe and comfortable home environment.
Requirements
- Must have prior experience using a Hoyer lift and providing transfer assistance
- Previous caregiving experience required
- Strong knowledge of safe lifting and mobility support techniques
- Reliable, punctual, and compassionate
- Able to follow a care plan and work independently
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing and showering
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with dressing and personal grooming
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Prepare simple meals
- Maintain a safe and clean home environment
- Schedule appointments with physicians and laboratory services
- Assist with safe transfers using a Hoyer lift
