You will deliver outstanding care by assisting with various daily activities and managing the overall well-being of clients. Health Care Aides in the Calgary region whose main responsibilities will contribute to managing activities of daily living (ADLs) and maintaining client autonomy. Applicants of interest will work primarily with the elderly in autonomous, semi-autonomous, and total care conditions.
Requirements
- A passion for the job and helping others
- Health Care Aide certification optional
- Access to reliable transportation and valid insurance
- Ability to pass a background check and reference check
- A hunger to learn how to best care for your clients
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an HCA, Personal Care Aide/Assistant, or similar position.
Responsibilities
- Establish open communication with seniors and their families
- Assist clients with errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, transportation, ambulation, transfers
- Personal care including bathing, dressing, mobility, incontinence care, feeding and other services
- Companionship and friendship for seniors and loved ones
