About The Position

The Cottages is a small, home-like senior living community focused on helping residents live safely, comfortably, and with dignity. Caregivers provide attentive, compassionate support and companionship while helping residents maintain quality of life. Experience is preferred but not required; training in elder care is provided, and employees have opportunities to grow and advance within the company. This is a part-time overnight position scheduled from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Applicants should be compassionate, reliable, mature, agile, sincere, timely, trustworthy, and loyal. They must have a positive attitude and a sincere desire to help others, be able to take direction and follow rules, and be proactive and thoughtful. Requirements

• A compassionate attitude and sincere desire to help others.
• Ability to take direction, follow rules exactly, and be proactive and thoughtful.
• Successful completion of a criminal history check and background screening.
• Pass the post-offer drug test.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Must be 17 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

• Caregiving experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with hygiene and grooming, including bathing and dressing.
• Assist with medications or med-tech duties.
• Monitor residents and provide safety supervision.
• Prepare meals.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility.
• Do laundry.
• Provide joyful companionship.
