About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring Caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, PCAs, DSPs, and Home Care Assistants to provide non-medical in-home care for seniors and adults in Merrillville, Lake County, Porter County, and surrounding communities. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• Ability to pass a national background check
• Dependable, patient, and professional
• Comfortable using a smartphone for communication and scheduling

Nice To Haves

• Preferred caregiving experience (Caregiver, CNA, HHA, PCA, DSP, or similar)
• CPR certification and TB test preferred or willing to obtain

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Help with mobility, ambulation, and transfers
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry
• Provide medication reminders only
• Observe and report changes in client condition
• Use mobile app for scheduling and documentation
• Follow agency safety and infection control procedures
