About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is actively hiring Caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, PCAs, DSPs, and Home Care Assistants to provide non-medical in-home care for seniors and adults in Merrillville and surrounding Lake and Porter County communities. If you are compassionate, dependable, and passionate about helping others remain safe and independent at home, we would love to have you on our team. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• Ability to pass a national background check
• Dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional
• Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience as a Caregiver, CNA, HHA, PCA, DSP, or related role
• CPR certification and TB test preferred or willing to obtain

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with mobility, ambulation, and transfers
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry
• Provide medication reminders only
• Observe and report changes in client condition
• Use mobile app for clock-in/out and documentation
• Follow agency safety and infection control procedures
