About The Position

Cogir Senior Living is hiring a Caregiver (CNA/HCA) to provide compassionate, personalized direct care to residents in a senior living community. The role supports residents with activities of daily living and promotes their comfort, safety, well-being, privacy, dignity, and independence. Caregivers work as part of a team to help maintain a supportive and nurturing environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid state CNA or HCA license, as required by state regulations.
Current First Aid and CPR license, or ability to obtain one.
At least 12 months of experience in a professional caregiving setting.
Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset.
Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and commitment to treating residents with dignity and respect.
Attention to detail, physical stamina, and high integrity.
Willingness to participate in weekend rotation.

Experience with memory care.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring, as needed, while following community protocols, licensing regulations, and safety guidelines.
Promote residents’ independence and provide emotional support, compassionate care, engagement, and companionship.
Encourage and assist residents to participate in life enrichment activity programs.
Perform light housekeeping, such as making beds and tidying rooms.
Promote open communication among healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
