About The Position

Right at Home is hiring PCA Caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs to provide in-home care and support for clients in North County San Diego and the Temecula Valley. Caregivers help clients maintain quality of life in their own homes or in senior living communities. The position offers full-time and part-time opportunities with flexible schedules, including mornings, days, overnights, weekdays, and weekends, based on caregiver availability and preferences. Spanish speaking and Hoyer experience are noted in the job title.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
Have reliable transportation to and from each shift.
Possess a valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance.
Be able to pass a full employment background check.
The posting prefers a high school graduate or GED certificate.
The posting prefers one year of caregiving experience and requires at least six months; caring for a family member counts. Newcomers interested in a caregiving career may be trained.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, and toileting.
Assist with transferring and moving clients around their homes.
Perform household tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping, washing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks.
Provide transportation and accompany clients on errands or appointments.
Provide dementia care.
Offer companionship through activities such as reading, music, crafts, games, and puzzles.
Provide medication reminders.
Assist with prescribed range-of-motion exercises.
