About The Position
Caregivers provide personal care and support to seniors so they can live safely at home. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, medication reminders, and maintaining a safe home environment, while offering companionship and participating in enjoyable activities. The position serves Eugene, Oregon, and surrounding areas.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Six months of experience as a caregiver.
- CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
- Compassionate and helpful nature, good communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to seniors living at home.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
- Help clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Provide medication reminders, document clients’ condition, and notify a supervisor about concerns.
- Maintain a safe home environment, including keeping pathways unobstructed.
- Participate in activities clients enjoy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
