About The Position

River Oaks Homecare, a leader in the industry for 10 years, is expanding and looking for dedicated Caregivers to join their brand-new residential home in Norristown, PA. This is a part-time position with 4-hour daily shifts available Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, offering a consistent and stable routine in a beautiful residential setting. The role involves providing personalized daily support, creating sensory-friendly environments, offering behavioral and emotional support, meal preparation, light housekeeping, fostering community and companionship, and health advocacy for residents.

Requirements

Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the US.
Basic cooking and housekeeping knowledge.
Compassionate, respectful, and ethical.

Nice To Haves

Previous caregiving, CNA, or HHA residential experience is a plus.
CPR/First Aid certification is preferred (but we can help you get it!).

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity are always a priority.
Implement routines that support individuals with unique sensory processing needs, ensuring a calm and structured living space.
Use patient, positive redirection, and communication techniques to support residents through various behavioral challenges and emotional regulation.
Prepare healthy meals and snacks tailored to specific dietary requirements or textures, assisting with feeding as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment to reduce overstimulation and ensure safety.
Foster a supportive atmosphere through engaging activities, errands, and social interaction that honors each resident’s unique personality.
Drive residents in a company-provided vehicle to community events and doctor's appointments.
Provide vital medication reminders and closely monitor health or behavioral changes to ensure the highest quality of care.
