About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Midland office is seeking part-time caregivers to provide compassionate care to senior adults and others in need throughout West Texas and the Permian Basin, including Midland and Odessa. Caregivers support clients with tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, mobility assistance, personal care, and transportation. The role also provides an opportunity for personal growth, with advanced training available in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

Excellent knowledge of emergency response.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.

Responsibilities

Give clients medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including at doctor’s appointments and on walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with assistance from clients when they are able.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them while they shop.
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cannot complete on their own.
Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
