About The Position
Home Instead is actively hiring a dependable and compassionate Caregiver to provide overnight support for an older adult in Ames, Iowa. The role involves helping the client remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own home. This position requires a caregiver who is attentive, compassionate, and experienced with hands-on personal care, while also providing reassurance and overnight supervision. The schedule is for overnight coverage from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Home Instead emphasizes providing one-on-one care and supporting their Care Professionals.
Requirements
- Experience providing hands-on personal care
- Dependable, attentive, and comfortable working overnight shifts
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to treating others with dignity and respect
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive overnight supervision to ensure client safety and comfort
- Assist with personal care, including toileting, hygiene, dressing, repositioning, and other activities of daily living as needed
- Offer companionship, reassurance, and emotional support throughout the night
- Respond promptly to the client's needs while promoting dignity and independence
- Document any significant overnight observations and changes in condition
