About The Position
We are seeking compassionate and reliable caregivers to join our team in Sandy Spring. We offer flexible scheduling with both part-time and full-time positions available, including day and night shifts. Our agency is certified with the National Association for Home Care & Hospice and is an equal opportunity employer.
Requirements
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must complete Live Scan / Fingerprinting.
- Must have reliable transportation with insurance.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (e.g., 2 forms of ID like Driver's License or Identification/passport or Permanent Resident ID/Social Security Card).
- CPR + First Aid and TB test or chest X-ray are required.
Nice To Haves
- Formal training or at least 6 months of experience in the home care field or a related school program is desired.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide transportation for errands such as pharmacy and grocery shopping.
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping duties.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Assist with mobility.
- Provide toiletry assistance.
- Offer companionship and engage seniors in activities like attending senior centers or church, playing games, reading, watching movies, and taking walks.
- Maintain detailed records of services provided and client conditions via an online portal.
- Report any major changes or incidents to the Care Coordinator during the shift.
