IRONTON CAREGIVERS NEEDED! ALL SHIFTS
About The Position
Visiting Angels is hiring part-time CAREgivers to provide compassionate, non-medical care that helps seniors remain safely and comfortably in their own homes while preserving their dignity, independence, and quality of life. The role involves building relationships with clients and receiving support from a dedicated team. Paid orientation and comprehensive training are provided, including ongoing education and training in dementia and palliative care. Experienced CAREgivers may participate in a six-week mentoring program to help new team members succeed. Assignments are made throughout Kanawha, Putnam, and Cabell Counties in West Virginia; Scioto County, Ohio; and surrounding communities. Work is on the road, with local assignments matched near the caregiver’s home whenever possible. All offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening. Requirements
- Be reliable and dependable.
- Be compassionate, patient, and caring, and passionate about helping others.
- Provide reliable transportation.
- Have a valid driver's license or state ID.
- Successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping and prepare meals.
- Assist clients with errands and appointments.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Provide dementia and Alzheimer's care.
- Help clients maintain independence and quality of life.
- Experienced CAREgivers who serve as mentors support and guide new team members through a six-week mentoring program.
