Caregiver (AM Shift) - Forest Lake
About The Position
Suite Living Senior Care is hiring a Caregiver for its Forest Lake assisted living and memory care community. Caregivers provide personalized, person-centered care and support to residents. Applicants may be experienced or newly certified; the role is open to caregiver candidates such as CNA, HHA, PCA, RA, or NAR. The position is listed for the AM shift, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. New team members complete four days of paid onboarding training, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Arden Hills, Minnesota training center. Ongoing leadership support and a team member development program with wage increases are available. Part-time and full-time schedules are offered, and all shifts must be available to work every other weekend.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of caregiving experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to pass medications; training is provided.
- Be a team player with excellent communication, empathy, and reliability.
- Availability to work every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiving experience in assisted living or memory care.
- CNA certification.
- CPR/First Aid knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support resident mobility and transfers within the facility.
- Assist with medication administration; training is provided.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversation.
- Provide light housekeeping and meal assistance.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions to the leadership team.
- Respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
