About The Position

AmeriCARE High Plains is seeking a part-time Caregiver for the Conifer Area, with the potential for full-time employment as the company grows. The role involves providing essential caregiving services to clients, including personal care, companionship, respite care, post-operative care, and dementia care. The position requires reliable and communicative individuals who can utilize state-of-the-art technology for real-time work tracking. A smartphone and a clean driving license are necessary if clients are to be driven, with company-provided insurance. Compliance with Colorado regulations includes required training, an annual flu vaccine, and a background check with references. Training, ranging from 11-20 hours annually, will be provided through online classes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Offer companionship, emotional support, engage in conversations, and assist with light household tasks.
  • Provide respite care to offer temporary relief for family caregivers.
  • Support individuals recovering from surgery, including medication management and facilitating a smooth transition home.
  • Deliver specialized care for individuals with dementia, focusing on safety, comfort, and quality of life.
  • Communicate eloquently and reliably, ensuring client well-being.
  • Utilize company technology for real-time work tracking.
  • Administer medication on time.
  • Keep accurate records.
  • Perform meal preparation, light housekeeping, and run errands as needed.
