Caregiver - $1500 Sign-On Bonus
About The Position
Dungarvin is hiring a Direct Support Professional/Caregiver to provide person-centered support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, complex medical needs, and mental health or behavioral challenges. The goal is to help individuals live as independently and comfortably as possible while preserving their dignity and respect. The role may involve supporting people who experience verbal or physical aggression, emotional distress, or other behaviors requiring patience, sound judgment, and crisis-management skills. Multiple shifts are available. Compensation is $17.00–$20.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid driver's license required because the role involves transporting individuals served.
- Must be comfortable driving to transport individuals served as required.
- Some positions or locations may require a personal vehicle and auto liability insurance.

- Computer skills for documentation.

Nice To Haves
- Prior experience supporting people with intense verbal and physical behaviors.
- Prior IDD, mental health, psychiatric, and/or security experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals served.
- Offer hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
- Promote the comfort, safety, and personal growth of individuals served.
- Assist with daily living tasks, including mobility, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
- Transport individuals served as required.
- Document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal and external team members.
