About The Position

Right at Home is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team in the Davis area. Our mission is to hire the RIGHT people for the RIGHT services with the RIGHT approach, focusing on professionalism, confidence, consistency, integrity, compassion, and safety. We aim to help our senior clients remain as independent as possible in their homes by providing non-medical home care. This includes assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation, medication reminders, companionship, transportation, and light housekeeping. We serve clients in Sacramento, West Sacramento, North Sacramento, South Sacramento, Natomas, Woodland, and Davis.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check.
• HCA Registration (We can assist at offer of employment).
• TB Skin test (can accept completed TB tests not older than 90 days).
• Must have your own vehicle to transport clients.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care activities of daily living, including assisting with dressing and grooming.
• Assists with ambulation and transfers, including the ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions.
• Accompanies clients on errands or medical appointments.
• Performs light housekeeping activities.
• Provides medication reminders.
• Cares for bed-bound clients.
• Uses lifting equipment such as Gait Belts, Slide Boards, and Hoyer Lifts.
• Provides companionship to clients.
• Provides one-on-one personal care such as bathing/shower assist, dressing/grooming, toileting/hygiene, and cooking/meal prep.
• Provides light housekeeping and companionship.
• Transports clients.
