About The Position

The Caregiver Supervisor will be responsible for directly overseeing and managing the provision of Home Services by the Caregivers (Home Services Workers), ensuring high-quality care and services, and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.

  • Developing Client Service Plans based on client needs assessment.
  • Initiating Client Service Plans and securing/updating physician orders.
  • Training, coordinating, and supervising family members and Caregivers.
  • Evaluating client, family, and Caregiver response and compliance.
  • Interpreting and documenting home services provided.
  • Scheduling and coordinating client schedules and staffing.
  • Coordinating and documenting Caregiver employee training.
  • Ensuring Caregiver compliance with training needs and competency evaluations.
  • Following up and documenting reported incidents related to abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, infection control, and employee health and safety.
  • Reporting to governmental agencies as required.

Responsibilities

  • Employee recruitment and retention, including screening, interviewing, processing, orientation, and continual support for Caregiver employees.
  • Directly supervise and support Caregivers to ensure efficient operations and adherence to all applicable rules and regulations.
  • Develop the Client Service Plan based on an assessment and identification of the environmental, behavioral, physical, and psychosocial needs of the client.
  • Initiate the Client Service Plan including the securing and updating of complete and accurate physician orders on a timely basis, when applicable.
  • Train, coordinate, and supervise family members and assigned Caregivers in the care of the client.
  • Evaluate client, family, and Caregiver response and compliance with care, including re-assessments of the client’s general condition, progress, problems encountered, client satisfaction, and appropriateness of services.
  • Interpret and document, on a timely basis, home services provided to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Scheduling and Coordination of client schedules, including staffing clients with suitable Caregiver employees, assuring maximum employee attendance ratios, emergency staffing, responding to client requests, reporting client/employee concerns, briefing new Caregiver employees, and initiating disciplinary action.
  • Coordinate and document all Caregiver employee training per the Agency’s Employee Training policies and procedures, update employee files, ensure compliance with training needs, and ensure Caregivers pass requisite competency evaluations.
  • Follow-up and documentation on reported incidents per the Agency’s mandated reporting for abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation policies and procedures, including all required reporting to governmental agencies.
  • Follow-up, investigation and documentation on reported incidents per the Agency’s Infection Control and Employee Health and Safety policies and procedures.
