About The Position

Christian Care Fellowship Square of Mesa is looking for a Memory Care Caregiver Supervisor. The purpose of this position is to provide a broad range of support services to our Assisted Living residents. The purpose of this position is to provide supervision of Certified Caregivers who provide a broad range of services to the residents in our Assisted Living facility. This position is considered a "working" supervisor as the supervisor is required to perform regular caregiver duties in addition to supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Have obtained a high school diploma, and or GED.
  • Possess a certificate from an AZ approved caregiver training program.
  • Have at least one year of assisted living experience with administering medications.
  • Complete and pass medication administration training given by wellness nurse and or licenses professional.
  • Have at least two years of Senior Care Experience, and 1 year memory care expierence
  • The ability to read and write in English.
  • The ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • The ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • The ability to speak effectively before small groups of residents, family or staff.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To present oneself in an orderly manner.
  • Willingness to adapt to the changing demands of this position.
  • Be helpful and polite to residents, to be understanding of their needs and respect their privacy, personal property and confidentiality.
  • Keep your areas of responsibility clean, neat and organized.
  • Cooperate with and be polite to all staff members, family and visitors.
  • Knowledge of state assisted living rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the facility policies and procedures
  • Attendance at staff training/in-service meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to demonstrate high standards of professional ethic and conduct.
  • Provide a high level of care to Residents, family members, guest and employees.
  • Ability to secure the cooperation of others and be willing to cooperate with other personnel.
  • Supervises caregivers on your shift. Coordinates direction of staff with manager and is able to make some independent value judgments during the course of the shift. Calls manager as needed.
  • Acts as designee in interactions with family members, physicians, pharmacy and other individuals.
  • Assess the needs of all residents during a shift, and ensures that all residents’ personal needs are met.
  • Adjusts shift assignments and schedule as needed to adapt to changing needs of residents.
  • Assists Manager with MAR record maintenance as needed, and accuracy audits.
  • Coordinates orientation and training of new employees on your shift.
  • Monitor your staff performance and communicate areas of concern to manager.
  • Assists Manager with quality control of documentation for your shift, verifying accuracy.
  • Reports to manager any changes of condition in a resident or areas of concern during the shift in writing, in person or by phone as the situation dictates.
  • Computer skills with proficiency in outlook, and Word.
  • Additional duties as Manager assign.
