About The Position

AdvisaCare is seeking caregivers/Home Health Aides to provide private-duty in-home care for clients in Howard City and surrounding areas. The role provides one-on-one care in the client’s home, with time to connect and assist with daily needs. Shift work is available.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently with integrity.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to travel within the service area.
• CPR certified.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and clear a background check.
• Must be reliable and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing.
• Perform slide-board transfers.
• Assist with range-of-motion exercises, approximately 15 minutes.
• Provide commode assistance.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Perform light housework, including cleaning and helping with cooking as needed.
• Drive a handicap van as needed; the client typically can drive themself.
