Caregiver - Non-Medical Companion Care
About The Position
Touching Hearts at Home, Syracuse, a nationally recognized leader in home care for older adults, is seeking compassionate, reliable, and customer-focused Senior Caregivers to join their team. No medical certification is required, as the organization provides training and support. This role offers both part-time (minimum 20 hours/week) and full-time opportunities with flexible scheduling, including day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. The mission is to empower older adults to age in place and avoid hospitalization. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, empathetic, possess excellent communication skills, patience, and a respectful attitude, with reliability and punctuality being crucial.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and your own insured vehicle
- Have your vehicle at every shift
- Reliable phone and internet access
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability for at least 20 hours per week
- Willingness to commute up to 20 miles
