About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One semester (12 credit hours) of accredited college work; or minimum of eighth grade reading comprehension level as evidenced by score on the Adult Basic Learning Examination (ABLE) test
  • Employees may be required to utilize their personal mobile phones for two-factor authentication (2FA).
  • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

  • Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
  • The Caregiver performs direct care for persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in a residential setting for male or female residents
  • The Caregiver is responsible for training, transporting, preparation of meals, feeding, bathing, toileting, medication administration and maintaining a safe and clean environment for the residents, and other duties associated with daily living
  • Transports consumers to and from scheduled day programs, outings, appointments, and recreational functions as required. Includes transporting in cars, minivans, and 15 passenger vans.
  • Order, stock, inventory, and rotate food supplies to maintain sufficient quantities to facilitate the operation of the group home with household needs
  • Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised
