About The Position

The Caregiver/CNA provides kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents in the Memory Care neighborhood. The role assists residents with activities of daily living and uses encouragement and restorative interventions to help them remain as independent as possible. The position also supports resident activities, meals, laundry, and basic housekeeping, while responding to resident, family, and employee concerns in a timely and professional manner. This is a part-time night-shift opening. The posting lists the shift as 10PM–6PM and offers $18.50. Senior Lifestyle requires employees to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination unless exempt due to medical, religious, or personal beliefs; government requirements or exclusions may apply.

Requirements

Communicate clearly and effectively in English.
Have basic computer skills.
Demonstrate proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Be compassionate, kind, engaging, and helpful.
Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Solve practical problems and handle variables in situations with limited standardization.
Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with seniors with dementia, including participating in activities, is preferred.
A CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on the state.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and support to residents.
Assist and encourage Memory Care residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility, and other activities of daily living, using restorative interventions as needed.
Participate in and lead individual and group activities.
Serve residents during mealtime.
Assist with Memory Care laundry and basic housekeeping within the Memory Care neighborhood.
Ensure resident, family, and employee concerns receive timely responses and follow-up.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
