About The Position

Village Caregiving is seeking a compassionate, dedicated in-home caregiver/CNA to assist clients with daily activities in the comfort of their own homes. Caregivers travel to and from clients’ homes in and around Crossville, Illinois. The position offers flexible hours and may suit someone seeking part-time work around other jobs. Prior experience is not required. The listed pay is $17.50–$18.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and have the physical capability to perform job-related duties.
Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Demonstrate the ability to act compassionately and supportively.
Be available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
Be willing to enforce health and safety standards.
Take pride in providing high-quality care.
Have Hoyer lift experience for the specific client.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment.
Experience as a caregiver.
CNA, SRNA, or HHA qualification, or completion of a CNA program.

Responsibilities

Provide personal hygiene assistance, including help with showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
Provide companionship.
Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
Help clients move around the home or outside, including to appointments, errands, and walks.
Plan and prepare meals.
Assist with physical therapy exercises.
Perform light housekeeping duties.
Report unusual incidents and respond quickly and responsibly to emergencies.
Assist clients with daily living activities related to meals, including serving and other tasks as needed.
Use common sense principles.
