About The Position

SeaStar Senior Services is a professional in-home care and care management company in Portland, Oregon. We provide home care, medical and social outings, and care management for seniors and vulnerable adults in Portland and the surrounding towns. We are looking for professional certified nursing assistants and caregivers who want to be part of a locally owned company that is focused on providing quality, compassionate care to our clients. For this position specifically, we are seeking someone willing to work on-call, being available 5 out of 7 days a week to take last minute shifts throughout the Portland metro area. This position guarantees two full days of pay if no shifts are offered. This position will also be considered for promotion to In Home Care Supervisor when available.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Must have a smart phone for clocking in and out and documentation
• Driver's license, car, and clean driving record required

Nice To Haves

• CNA preferred but will train
• Experience working with seniors and adults with disabilities
• CPR certified or able to obtain
• Good observational and writing skills

Responsibilities

• ON CALL position - ability to work with short notice
• Ability to travel throughout Portland metro to work various times and various homes
• Provide home care to clients living in their own homes
• Meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands
• Social interaction with the clients - puzzles, games, reading
• Personal care, depending on assigned client needs
• Medication administration, depending on assigned client needs
