About The Position

BrightStar Care of St. Croix Valley & Hudson is seeking compassionate, dependable, and caring professionals to provide one-on-one support to clients in their homes during 12-hour daytime shifts. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping seniors and adults maintain their independence while receiving the highest quality care. The position involves assisting clients with daily living activities, providing companionship, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Available shifts include 12-hour day shifts (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM) with both full-time and part-time opportunities. Weekday and weekend shifts are available, with potential for additional shifts based on client needs. The role requires local travel throughout Washington County and St. Croix County.

Requirements

  • Current CNA certification or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred
  • Caregiving experience preferred
  • Current CPR certification preferred
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed (up to 50 pounds)
  • Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality

  • Experience in roles such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Personal Care Aide, Resident Assistant, Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with transfers, ambulation, and safety supervision
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks
  • Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community activities
  • Monitor and report changes in client condition to the Director of Nursing
  • Follow individualized care plans while promoting client dignity, independence, and quality of life
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the care team
