About The Position
AW Health Care is a women-owned enterprise seeking individuals with a strong commitment to customer service and a passion for geriatric care. The company prides itself on providing exceptional care to homebound clients throughout West St Louis, St Charles, and Warren Counties. They are currently looking for individuals experienced in caring for clients with Dementia and Alzheimer's.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable/personal vehicle with auto insurance coverage
- Availability to work every other weekend, required
- Availability/Ability work work 30 hours per month, required
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs, required
Nice To Haves
- Specific training, certifications and experience in Dementia and Alzheimer's care is preferred.
- Ability to work in homes with pets and smokers, preferred
- Ability to work in client homes located in assisted living or independent living with pets required.
- Experience working as a Caregiver / CNA / Home Care Aide/Mental Health Tech for Dementia and Alzheimer's geriatric patients, highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting with mobility, bathing, dressing and other personal hygiene
- Light housekeeping, laundry, bed linen changes and meal preparation
- Medication reminders
- Client errands and companionship
- Redirecting and deescalating techniques
