About The Position
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of: CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION COMPUTER SCIENCE TEACHER (PROBATIONARY) for the 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR starting July 1, 2026. The candidate should have the ability to teach Computer science and technical skills to high school students. The teacher may collaborate with industry and college partners to deliver curricula. Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
Requirements
- Hold a Buffalo or New York State teaching certificate in the Computer Science subject area.
- Attach a PDF or a screenshot of their certifications.
Responsibilities
- Teach Computer science and technical skills to high school students.
- Teach modern computer languages (C++, Java, and JavaScript).
- Teach Digital Foundations.
- Teach Advanced Digital Circuits & Microprocessors.
- Teach Programming and Networking Basics.
- Collaborate with industry and college partners to deliver curricula.
