About The Position

Trane Technologies is hiring a Career Technical Co-op student to support field technicians working on HVAC and building-controls products and equipment. The position offers technical support, training on current technology, and career development with a global manufacturer. The co-op will work under close or direct supervision and establish positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers through phone, computer, and in-person communication. The role is on-site five days a week and requires an average of at least 20 hours per week over the course of a year. Successful co-op students may have the opportunity to interview for a full-time position in the Trane Apprenticeship Program. The work includes assisting with maintenance, inspections, preventative maintenance, service requests, equipment replacement, system modifications, testing, startup, commissioning, and service. The co-op will use hand and power tools, software and technology, blueprints, and engineering specifications to support diagnosis and repair. The position does not involve working on live electrical systems. It is physically demanding and safety-sensitive, involving jobsite hazards, ladders, rooftops, and possible exposure to variable weather, mechanical equipment, heights, electrical-shock risks, and noise.
