About The Position

The College of Arts and Career Services Coordinator will engage in activities to promote career development and job search skills for students. They will cultivate and maintain relationships with departments and faculty in the college and serve as participating staff member to Offices of OSU Career Services and CAS Student Academic Service. Travel is required in performing the job. Local/regional travel for employer development and special events as needed. Professional development seminars or conferences 1-2 times per year. Work schedule other than Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, includes employer visits, alumni receptions, recruiting events and career fairs may all occur evenings or weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree conferred on or before the agreed-upon start date.
  • 1 year of related experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent public relationship skills.
  • Ability to make sensitive decisions and deal with issues of confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage several projects with multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience with PC applications.
  • High energy, self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Work experience in higher education or business setting involving significant interaction with students or the public.
  • Experience in teaching or making presentations to groups in a business setting.

Responsibilities
