Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology invites applications for an exciting opportunity to serve as a Career Services and Employer Relations Assistant Director. This role is responsible for providing individualized career advising to students and alumni, equipping them with the tools necessary to successfully pursue internships, co-ops, research opportunities, graduate education, and full-time employment. The Assistant Director will build and maintain collaborative relationships with students, alumni, employers, faculty, staff, parents, and other key constituents, while also representing and promoting Rose-Hulman to campus visitors, including prospective students and athletic recruits. The position supports initiatives that enhance the student experience, foster inclusive practices, and strengthen communication, data, and outreach efforts across the Institute. The Assistant Director will work closely with undergraduate students to guide them through career exploration and decision-making processes, providing support that may include resume and curriculum vitae development and review, interview preparation, networking strategies, graduate school testing and application guidance, cover letter and personal statement feedback, and offer evaluation and negotiation. This role includes working with assigned student populations to monitor and track post-graduation outcomes and progress. Additionally, the position involves tracking, compiling, and analyzing student, alumni, and employer data, ensuring accuracy within systems such as CRM and Handshake, and contributing to departmental reporting and assessment efforts for internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, development, execution, and evaluation of career-related events, workshops, presentations, and programs, including supporting logistics such as set-up and breakdown. They will also contribute to the development of career-related curriculum and courses for both in-person and online delivery, collaborating with academic departments and faculty to align career outcomes with academic programs. Responsibilities further include creating and maintaining marketing and communication materials, including websites, social media content, brochures, reports, and other publications. This role may perform additional duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the Institute and its commitment to student success.
