About The Position
The Arc Westchester, a leading organization in the field of Human Services is seeking a motivated, compassionate and creative individual to help empower young adults with developmental disabilities to achieve their personal best and gain greater independence through suitable employment. This candidate will work with a team of dedicated professionals from across multiple organizations to develop career opportunities using Person Centered Planning for adults and transition students with developmental disabilities. Candidate develops career and employment opportunities and provides retention supports for individuals employed in the community. Communicate with employers, families and service providers regarding progress or concerns at the work site. Provide assistance with job and interpersonal skills to individuals at their place of employment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, be reliable, energetic and a strong advocate for the young adults Arc of Westchester serves.
Requirements
- HS Diploma
- Valid NYS Driver’s License
- Reliable car
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred
