About The Position

The Career Navigator is a full-time American Connection Corps (ACC) AmeriCorps service position hosted by Urban League Twin Cities. The Member provides direct client service and program support under the guidance and supervision of the Workforce Director and designated program staff. The role helps clients access programming and resources, develop work plans and goals, and make progress toward workforce objectives. Members do not independently manage staff or program operations, make eligibility or employment decisions, determine client case plans or service eligibility, or take on responsibilities assigned to paid employees; staff retain responsibility for program oversight, case-management decisions, file compliance, and employee supervision. The service year includes structured training and professional development, such as a national virtual orientation, an in-person Winter Institute with travel, lodging, and per diem covered, twice-monthly virtual training, self-paced curricula, a community listening tour, dedicated support from a Lead For America Program Coordinator, peer meetings, and access to a national network of Members, alumni, and community partners. Members serve approximately 40 hours per week and complete 1,200 service hours during the term, scheduled from December 7, 2026, through August 13, 2027.
