About The Position

Under the direction of the CTE office, this role provides leadership and daily support in implementing the high school's individualized career counseling initiative and connection to college and career readiness. The position involves providing leadership to school-based staff and community stakeholders, working closely in the planning, monitoring, and developing of career counseling plans. The Career Navigator will lead the Blueprint for Maryland career counseling initiative in coordination with the CTE Office and in partnership with the School Counseling department to ensure students are counseled into viable career pathways. Responsibilities include providing daily support to teachers and staff, assisting with professional development activities, and monitoring data, student engagement, equity, and access. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in career counseling or a related field.
• Knowledge of college and career readiness initiatives.
• Experience working with school-based staff and community stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data monitoring and analysis.
• Understanding of student engagement, equity, and access principles.
