About The Position

Provides comprehensive and accelerated coaching and rigorous navigation services across virtual and face-to-face platforms to prepare participants to advance and leverage career readiness activities that lead to successful completion of training, career planning and employment. Develops new perspectives to establish and achieve goals for the individuals to achieve family-sustaining employment, retention, advancement, and long-term career and financial stability. Works as part of Workforce Services team to leverage the technology culture across internal teams, partner agencies, and participants’ portfolios using an accelerated coaching model and tools that promote social, physical, verbal, and cognitive development necessary to navigate and thrive in the current workforce as well as the future of work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Science, Education, Career Coaching, Workforce Development or related field and two years’ experience working in Career Coaching and/or Workforce Development; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License (Class C), car insurance and reliable automobile and safe driving record (as determined by the Agency's insurance carrier) required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides career navigation, coaching, employability skills training, and stabilization resources, to facilitate positive outcomes for participants seeking to start and advance their career.
  • Administers behavioral assessment and identifies areas for growth and takes actionable steps to move participants toward their professional destination by mapping essential skills development to career performance “targets.”
  • Uses assessment information, coaching skills for dialogue, and observation to identify mindset models and behavioral-based attributes to development, helps participants recognize their strengths, empowers participants to be more effective in developing career mobility skills, and provides program impact data using identified benchmark and progression measures.
  • Delivers service responsibilities to include development and implementation of comprehensive, individualized program plans, ultimately achieving family sustaining outcomes and retaining employment.
  • Offers Career Development Workshops and Training Sessions to equip participants with skills needed to navigate career development and advancement.
  • Collaborates closely in a dynamic team environment with Workforce Services staff and across departments to help participants bridge any gaps to reaching employment outcomes.
  • Proposes innovative and individualized recommendations to help establish and drive optimal improvements for participants as well as employers and Workforce Services programs.
  • Learns new tools, virtual technologies, as well as best practices and shares learnings with others to embrace a growth mindset approach in engaging and coaching participants both virtually and in person.
  • Promotes continual learning and stays current on relevant industry trends and career metrics-based coaching practices.
  • Maintains comprehensive and timely documentation of all services provided and referred, documenting the progress of persons served in accordance with Agency and contractual requirements, regularly sharing information with involved stakeholders and referral sources.
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement processes and serves on organizational and divisional project teams.
  • Performs other job-related tasks as assigned by the Manager, Career Navigation.
