Career Foundation Associate - Ops Finance Track

Smithfield Foods•Wilson, NC

About The Position

The Career Foundation Program (CFP) gives recent college graduates an opportunity to explore career options through function-specific rotations. The Operations Finance Track includes rotations through Plant Finance and Accounting, and Corporate Finance and Accounting. Rotations across the program may last 18 to 24 months, depending on the track. Associates learn about the Company’s business while pursuing a position to launch their career with Smithfield, with guidance, training, and partnership from senior leaders, an assigned manager, a mentor, and a program manager. CFP Associates contribute to the goals of their assigned departments by helping solve problems, taking leadership roles on certain projects, supporting short- and long-term objectives, and delivering high-level results. After 12 months in the program, Associates may apply for open positions for which they are qualified and interested while continuing their rotations. Selection is merit-based, and securing a new position is not guaranteed. Associates receive career guidance and counseling during their rotations and internal job searches. Proof of graduation is required before the actual start date.
