Communication with management, employers, applicants, claimants, and coworkers regarding job orders, referrals, job developments, and unemployment insurance benefits is crucial. The role requires professional management of career assessment, vocational counseling, job placement, and other social services offered at the local American Job Center, adhering to Department of Labor laws and regulations, with priority service to veterans and other special-needs applicants. Excellent customer-service skills are essential to ensure optimal results and maintain a friendly office atmosphere. Assistance with the resource room, including UI eligibility, filing UI claims, and training on UI functions, is also a key responsibility. The position may involve receptionist duties, participation in team meetings, and required staff training.
