About The Position

This position is responsible for providing career development guidance to high school students, with a particular emphasis on technical programs. The Career Coach will play a key role in student recruitment for these programs, assist students with career exploration and assessments, and guide them through the admissions process for technical programs and financial aid applications. Additionally, the role involves promoting career programs through classroom presentations, providing information on current job market trends, and coordinating job shadowing opportunities. The Career Coach must also adhere to all policies set forth by Alabaster City Schools and the State Department of Education.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
Ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

Provide career development guidance for high school students with emphasis on technical programs.
Plan and implement student recruitment activities for technical programs.
Assist students with career exploration activities and career assessments.
Assist students with admissions to technical programs and application for financial aid.
Provide guidance to students regarding career choices.
Conduct high school classroom presentations promoting career programs and activities.
Provide students with information regarding the current job market trends in career choices.
Coordinate job shadowing opportunities for students.
Comply with all policies of Alabaster City Schools and the State Department of Education.
